Trump Says US Will Hit Iran ‘Hard’ Again Today as Washington Reaffirms Nuclear Red Line

WASHINGTON, Jun 10: US President Donald Trump said on Wednesday that the United States would carry out further strikes on Iran, warning that military action would continue amid rising tensions with Tehran.

We hit them hard yesterday. We’re going to hit them again hard today, and we’ll see what happens with the deal,” Trump told reporters at the Oval Office, signaling continued military pressure alongside diplomatic uncertainty.

Trump also warned of the consequences of Iran acquiring nuclear weapons, saying, “If they had a nuclear weapon, there’d be no Israel, there’d be no Middle East, and they would have absolutely shot at us.”

The remarks come as Washington continues to maintain a firm stance on Iran’s nuclear program, with senior US officials reiterating that Tehran must not be allowed to develop nuclear weapons.

US Ambassador to NATO Matthew Whitaker said President Trump remains committed to both diplomacy and deterrence, but will strictly enforce what he described as a “red line” on Iran’s nuclear ambitions.

“President Trump, while he is patient, and he is a dealmaker and he wants peace — at the same time, he knows that Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon,” Whitaker told Fox News.

“That is the starting point, that is the red line, and unlike other presidents... when he draws a red line, he enforces it,” he added.

The statements highlight escalating rhetoric between Washington and Tehran, as diplomatic efforts continue alongside the threat of further military action.
