Trump says Lebanon not part of ceasefire as Iran warns - No halt in Lebanon, No truce

WASHINGTON / TEHRAN, Apr 8: US President Donald Trump said Lebanon was not included in the current ceasefire arrangement, attributing the exclusion to Hezbollah. In remarks to PBS NewsHour, Trump described ongoing Israeli strikes in Lebanon as “a separate skirmish” and “part of the deal.”

Meanwhile, Iran has warned it could withdraw from the two-week ceasefire if Israeli attacks on Lebanon continue. According to Tasnim News Agency, citing an unnamed source, Tehran is already identifying potential targets in preparation for a response. Press TV also reported that Iran intends to retaliate against Israel over strikes on Hezbollah, which it says violate the ceasefire terms.
