WASHINGTON, Jun 1: US President Donald Trump said on Monday that Iran “really wants” to reach a deal with the United States, adding that any potential agreement would benefit Washington and its allies.

Writing on Truth Social, Trump said, “Iran really wants to make a deal, and it will be a good one for the U.S.A. and those that are with us.” He also criticized Democrats and some Republicans for questioning the pace and direction of negotiations, arguing that their comments were complicating the process. “Just sit back and relax, it will all work out well in the end,” he wrote.

In a separate post, Trump rejected reporting by CNN regarding his proposed agreement with Iran, accusing the outlet of misrepresenting its contents. He said the network falsely claimed the deal did not address nuclear issues, adding that the agreement “very clearly” states Iran would not be allowed to obtain a nuclear weapon.

Trump further said that the proposed framework places significant emphasis on nuclear restrictions and accused CNN and other media organizations of distorting the details of the negotiations.
