Trump Holds Situation Room Talks on Possible New Iran Strikes as Pentagon Signals “Strong and Clear” Action

WASHINGTON, Jun 11: US President Donald Trump convened a meeting in the White House Situation Room on Wednesday to discuss potential additional military strikes against Iran, according to a report by Axios citing two US officials.

The discussions reportedly took place just hours after Trump stated that the United States “will hit them again hard today,” signaling continued escalation in Washington’s posture toward Tehran.

According to the Axios report, one option under consideration is a large-scale but short-duration military operation designed to increase pressure on Iran and influence its position in ongoing negotiations.

The meeting reflects what officials describe as active deliberations within the US administration over the scope and timing of any further action.

Separately, US Secretary of War Pete Hegseth said that any strikes carried out against Iran “tonight will be strong and clear,” reinforcing expectations of a decisive military response if operations proceed.

The developments come amid heightened tensions between Washington and Tehran, with repeated warnings from US officials over Iran’s nuclear ambitions and regional activities.
