WASHINGTON, Jul 15: President Donald Trump held a Situation Room meeting on Tuesday to discuss a possible expansion of U.S. military operations against Iran beyond the current strikes around the Strait of Hormuz, Axios reported, citing three sources familiar with the matter.

According to the report, Trump appeared open to broadening the military campaign in an effort to pressure Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz and accept his demands regarding its nuclear program.
