KUWAIT CITY, June 25: Minister of State for Development and Sustainability Dr. Reem Al-Fulaij referred a report to the Public Prosecution about the suspected forgery and manipulation of attendance records involving several supervisory employees at the Public Authority for Agricultural Affairs and Fish Resources (PAAAFR), reports Al-Seyassah daily.
In a statement to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), Al-Fulaij explained that this action is part of ongoing efforts to reinforce institutional integrity and the principles of governance, transparency and accountability. She added the move also complements the oversight and reform initiatives of the ministry. She stated that the decision was based on indicators, observations and documented evidence, which warranted submission to the competent investigative authority for legal action. She underscored the importance of maintaining the integrity of legal procedures and ensuring that investigations are conducted with complete impartiality.
She added that three supervisory employees at PAAAFR were suspended as a precautionary measure for a period of three months, pending the completion of the investigations. She also affirmed the commitment of the ministry to apply the highest standards of transparency and institutional oversight. She stressed that all reports on suspected violations are referred to the concerned judicial authorities in accordance with the legal frameworks.
