KUWAIT CITY, Aug 19: Following the activation of the third fingerprint attendance system for all employees in government agencies, a noticeable impact was observed in shopping malls during the morning hours. Some malls experienced a decline in shoppers, while others appeared nearly empty due to employees being required to be at their workplaces on time.

During the recent tour of some shopping malls, it was observed that some of these malls, once bustling with activity, have seen a significant decline in morning shoppers due to employees’ commitment to being at their workplaces on time.

The majority of shops and cafés were remarkably vacant, with only a few elderly visitors in attendance. The lively atmosphere of movement and conversation had diminished, leaving some malls unusually calm and quiet.

This morning's calm in the shopping malls will reflect a major shift in employees’ daily routines, as they are now required to be in their offices from early hours.

The wide aisles in some shopping malls, once crowded with visitors, now appeared almost empty. Shops with open doors were frequented by only a few customers, while many vendors waited for customers.

This shift highlights how the fingerprint attendance system has impacted the dynamics of daily life, with mornings now focused on work and commercial activity awaiting a resurgence after official working hours.
