KUWAIT CITY, Aug 26: The Ministry of Education announced the opening of transfer requests for an exceptional period, exclusively for teaching and administrative staff for new schools in the Al-Mutlaa and Ishbiliya areas. The process begins today, August 26, and will continue until Monday, September 1.
The Ministry confirmed that this step is part of its commitment to meet staffing needs in all new schools and provide the necessary educational and administrative personnel for the start of the 2025–2026 academic year, ensuring stability in the educational process from day one.
In addition, the Ministry opened registration for transfer cancellation requests for teachers who received transfer decisions during the past week. The transfer cancellation process is carried out electronically, is final, and cannot be reversed once completed. Teachers submitting a cancellation request will remain in their current workplace.
The Ministry explained that all transfer requests will be reviewed through the approved electronic transfer system, which automatically prioritizes applications based on specific criteria:
- Seniority at the date of appointment.
- Priority to the oldest applicant in case of a tie.
- Preference for the highest efficiency rating if a tie persists.
The process will follow these criteria and the available vacancies for the year. The system prioritizes applicants who fully meet the requirements according to the approved order. Staff can submit their requests through the Ministry of Education’s Administrative Services portal, previously announced for transfers. The Ministry urged all applicants to enter accurate data, fulfill all required conditions, and adhere strictly to the deadlines.
