Transfer of residence from Small Medium Enterprises

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 30: The Director of the Public Authority for Manpower, Ahmed Al-Mousa announced that a circular was issued to facilitate the owners of small and medium enterprises in light of the current circumstances, to allow labor transfer registered on small and medium enterprises (SME) to work for the owner of another small and medium enterprise (SME), within the limits of a maximum of three workers registered on the file, without the requirement to attach a wage transfer certificate until the end of the current year provided that the file of the SME is not suspended.

The transfer transactions will be carried out with approval of the Director of the Business Owners Service Department through a special record within the department with an undertaking is submitted from the owner of the SME that includes his fulfillment of the rights of the workers registered with him.

Al-Mousa further added that this circular ends at end of this current year adhereing to the rules set for the transfer of workers from a small and medium enterprise to another, referred to in Administrative Decision No. 712 of 2017.

Regarding the rules of transferring workers registered with the owners of small and medium enterprises. After three years from the date of issuance of the work permit, the transfer is permitted to owner of another small and medium enterprise, and after assessing the needs the new employer can add new workers to his file.
