Train Kuwaitis to meet market needs: minister

KUWAIT CITY, July 27: Minister of Social, Family and Childhood Affairs Dr. Amthal Al-Huwaila met on Sunday with Director General of the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training (PAAET) Dr. Hassan Al-Fajjam to discuss the ministry’s need for professional and technical specializations and qualified national personnel, reports Al-Seyassah daily.

The Ministry of Social Affairs explained in a press release that the meeting highlighted the specializations required by the ministry’s various sectors and the Public Authority for Disability Affairs (PADA) to meet operational needs and improve the efficiency of services provided to beneficiaries. The two sides discussed ways to enhance cooperation and coordination in providing the necessary specialized personnel and developing qualified professionals capable of meeting the requirements of various sectors. The ministry quoted Dr. Al- Huwaila as emphasizing the importance of aligning education and training outcomes with the labour market needs of the ministry’s affiliated entities and services supporting people with disabilities. She noted that this alignment would help attract qualified talent, improve performance quality, and promote institutional development.
