LONDON, Nov 22, (Agencies): Tragedy struck as four young boys lost their lives in the aftermath of a camping trip mishap in the United Kingdom. The Welsh police revealed that the bodies of Jevon Hirst, Harvey Owen, Wilf Fitchett, and Hugo Morris, aged between 16 and 18, were discovered in a vehicle that had veered off the road. The unsettling news was shared through a Facebook statement on Tuesday.

The quartet had been missing since Sunday morning, prompting an extensive search involving various agencies and volunteers. Superintendent Owain Llewellyn of North Wales Police expressed condolences, acknowledging the heartbreaking nature of the accident. He stated, “This appears to have been a tragic accident, and our thoughts are with the family and friends of the four young men at this very difficult time.”

Despite the collective efforts to locate the missing teenagers, the outcome was not what anyone had hoped for. Llewellyn requested privacy and respect for the grieving families, recognizing the emotional toll the situation had taken.

The police were alerted to an overturned Ford Fiesta, partially submerged in water, by a member of the public on Tuesday morning. The vehicle was found in the Porthmadog area of Wales.

Local councilor June Jones shared that the car was spotted by a passing lorry driver who had a higher vantage point from his cab. The discovery marked the culmination of a search that involved both official agencies and concerned citizens.

Amidst the sorrow, Harvey Owen’s mother, Crystal, expressed her profound grief on Facebook, likening the experience to a nightmarish ordeal. She conveyed her appreciation for the kindness extended by people but acknowledged the overwhelming pain, stating, “Nothing will make this nightmare go away.”
