Tragedy in brick kiln, six laborers died in wall collapse

HARIDWAR, Uttarakhand, India, Dec 26 (Agencies): In a devastating incident today morning, at least six laborers lost their lives, and several others suffered injuries when a wall of a structure collapsed in Lahboli village which is under the jurisdiction of Manglaur police station.

Promptly responding to the situation, police and administrative officials, including Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Pramendra Dobhal, rushed to the scene to oversee the rescue operations and injured were taken to a local hospital for medical attention.

“We received information around 8:30 am that the wall of a brick kiln had collapsed in Lahboli village. Sadly, at least six people have been confirmed dead, and several others have sustained injuries. They have been rushed to the hospital, and SSP Pramendra Dobhal is on-site overseeing the situation,” stated the district police PRO.

As of now, the identities of the deceased are yet to be determined. The incident highlights the urgency of ensuring the safety and structural integrity of workplaces to prevent such tragic events.
