KUWAIT CITY, Sept 13: The Traffic and Operations Sector in the Interior Ministry intensified its field presence at the start of the academic year. Patrols were deployed at neighborhood entrances and exits, as well as in the vicinity of schools, to regulate traffic flow. The sector urged parents to cooperate with the traffic officers, drop off students only in designated areas, avoid haphazard parking or obstructing traffic, and strictly adhere to traffic instructions and guidelines. It also emphasized that students and their guardians must use the designated pedestrian lanes to ensure their safety and that of other road users, and in order to contribute to efforts to guarantee safe and organized traffic movement throughout the school year. In an awareness initiative marking the start of the academic year, traffic officers joined students at the beginning of the academic year and distributed items to promote road safety.
