Traffic Diversions on Arabian Gulf Street from April 23 to May 3 in Two Phases

KUWAIT CITY, Apr 22: The General Traffic Department has announced a temporary full closure of the Kuwait Society of Engineers intersection with Street 800, along with the closure of the entrance and exit to Street 60 on Arabian Gulf Street, as part of planned traffic works.

Authorities said alternative traffic arrangements will be implemented, including the construction of a U-turn for vehicles coming from Shuwaikh towards the Kuwait Towers parking area, as well as for traffic arriving from Salmiya, to help ease movement during the closure period.

The closure will be carried out in two phases: the first from 6:00 PM on Thursday, April 23, 2026, until 6:00 AM on Sunday, April 26, 2026, and the second from 6:00 PM on Thursday, April 30, 2026, until 6:00 AM on Sunday, May 3, 2026. Authorities urged motorists to plan and follow traffic instructions during the affected periods.
