KUWAIT CITY, Nov 2: The General Traffic Department conducted several traffic campaigns in various parts of the country last week – from Oct 23-29, 2016 — as part of its efforts to maintain road safety and strictly enforce traffic regulations.

A press statement from the Interior Ministry revealed the campaigns resulted in the issuance of 34,422 citations for different violations, impounding of 883 vehicles and 29 motorbikes, and confiscation of seven vehicles wanted by law.

These seven vehicles were identified by traffic patrol vehicles (smart traffic) as included on the wanted list as they were used in thefts. Also, 41 individuals were referred to the traffic jail and nine expatriates to the Deportation Center for driving without a license.
