Track and field glory: Kazma Club tops general team competition

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 14: Kazma Club emerged victorious in the overall team competition at the preliminary athletics championship for both general and junior categories, organized by the Kuwait Athletics Federation. Al-Qadsia secured the second spot, while Kuwait claimed the third position.

In the junior team competitions of the same tournament held at the Ahmed Al-Rashdan Track and Field, Al-Qadsia clinched the top spot, surpassing Kazma in second place and Al-Sahel in third place.

The general high jump category witnessed Talal Jassim from Al-Qadsia Club securing the first position, followed by Khaled Al-Shammari from Al-Shabab Club in second place, and Abdullah Al-Balushi from Kazma Club in third place.

Salem Hamdan of Al-Qadsia Club claimed the first position in the general category decathlon competitions, with Sultan Al-Rayes from Al-Qadsia Club in second place, and Issa Sami from Kazma Club in third place.

In discus throwing, Abdullah Al-Zankawi from Al-Tadamon Club took the lead in the general category, followed by Jaafar Muhammad from Al-Kuwait Club in second place, and Hussein Al-Nasser from Al-Sahel Club in third place.

The individual competition in the junior category’s three-kilometer race was won by Hamdan Saad from Al-Sahel, with Abdul Rahman Alian from Jahra Club securing second place and Ahmed Saleh from Al-Jahra Club in third place.

For the 110-meter junior category race, Kuwaiti player Faisal Ashwi claimed victory, followed by Khaled Abdel Wahab from Al-Qadsia Club in second place, and Hassan Ali from Kuwaiti Club in third place.
