KUWAIT CITY, Dec 16: Mohamed Naser Al Sayer & Sons Est. Co. W.L.L. is thrilled to announce the official launch of the Toyota GR Yaris Cup Kuwait Season 3. The highly anticipated one-make racing championship will ignite the tarmac at Kuwait Motor Town with a series of thrilling race rounds running from December 2025 through March 2026.

The opening ceremony was attended by Faisal Bader Al-Sayer Chairman, Bengt Schultz COO, Martin Aherne Senior Business Director Toyota Group Sales, Bader Faisal Al Sayer Senior Manager Toyota Marketing, Theo Kruger General Manager of Toyota retail sales, Hamad Al Fouzan Deputy General Manager product planning and sales administration, Group Business Heads and Senior Managers, representatives from the sponsoring brands in the presence of members of the press and media.

Building on the success of its first two seasons, Season 3 promises to deliver intensified competition, showcasing the pure performance of the rally-bred Toyota GR Yaris and solidifying Kuwait’s position as a regional motorsport hub.

The Toyota GR Yaris was designed for high performance, and this cup is the ultimate test of the attributes and skills of both the vehicle and driver. Together, they represent the harmony of precision, performance, and partnership that characterizes the Toyota GR philosophy.

The success of the championship is a direct result of the seamless collaboration between several key partners including Group Sales and Marketing, the highly skilled technicians from Ahmadi Performance who meticulously race-prepared the GR Yaris fleet, Mr. Essa Hamzah Alfailakawi, President and Mr. Fuad Abu Arja Director of International Relations and Motorsports from Kuwait International Automobile Club, the team of experts at Suffix Sports Management, and the vital partnership with Kuwait Motor Town.

ALSAYER’s Ahmadi Performance Team – The Technical Experts

GR Yaris is a true sports car developed by experts at the Toyota Gazoo Racing World Rally Team, and the 12 units that are part of the GR Yaris Cup Season 3 are being race-prepared under FIA regulations, in-house with skill and precision by service technicians at Al Sayer Ahmadi Performance. Carefully selected race-specific components are added to the impressive standard specification to create a car at home circuit in the cutthroat environment of a one-make competition.

Each championship-eligible car is outfitted with a standardized suite of professional-grade racing components, including adjustable race shocks, a race-specific exhaust system, and high-performance race brake pads paired with braided lines. The cars will run on 18-inch alloy wheels fitted exclusively with Yokohama A050 tires.

Inside the cockpit, driver development is prioritized with a sophisticated race logger to capture and analyze performance data, enabling drivers to identify and execute precise areas for improvement. Crucially, the driver environment meets the highest safety standards, featuring a Recaro Pole Position race seat, a six-point safety harness, a fire suppression system, and a race steering wheel, all integrated within an FIA-certified six-point roll cage.

This year, the event features a larger group of distinguished sponsors who share our vision and passion for achieving success in addition to a wider range of talented drivers who will play a crucial role. The sponsors and drivers are not just part of the event; they are key partners in the success of Season 3.

The inaugural event of the GR Yaris Cup was successfully held on December 11th and 12th, 2025, at Kuwait Motor Town (KMT). Providing attendees with a memorable experience, the high-caliber racing demonstrated the potential of the regional motorsport scene and established a strong foundation for the future of the series.

A key highlight of the opening weekend at Kuwait Motor Town was an exclusive VIP preview of the high-performance GR Yaris was also held, giving the guests an up-close look at the rally-bred machine before the official Cup launch.

The remaining four rounds are scheduled as below:

• Second Round – 8th, 9th and 10th of January 2026

• Third Round – 12th and 13th of February

• Fourth Round – 5th and 6th of March 2026

•Fifth Round – 26th and 27th of March 2026

Kuwait and Qatar Unite for Regional Racing Excellence

A major highlight of the upcoming season will be the continuation of the GR Yaris Regional Cup to be held on 17th and 18th of April 2026 in cooperation with Abdulghani Motors, where the Kuwaiti champions will face off against their regional rivals at the prestigious Lusail International Circuit in Qatar. This regional collaboration underscores ALSAYER’s commitment to fostering a pan-GCC racing culture and providing local talent with international-level competition.

The Fédération Internationale de l ‘l'Automobile (FIA) certified one-make race event initiated by an automotive distributor in the region will feature 15 racing drivers backed by a strong track record of achievements in the field of motorsports.
