Tourism visa holders prohibited from Hajj pilgrimage

RIYADH, July 4: Saudi Arabia’s tourism ministry on Monday underlined that tourist visa holders are strictly prohibited from performing the religious Hajj or Umrah pilgrimages. The ministry, in a statement, went on to urge those arriving with a visa for the sole purpose of tourism to review regulations and guidelines ahead of obtaining the travel permit, and to fully comply with these instructions to avoid any violation, according to the state news agency, SPA.
