KUWAIT CITY, June 1: The showdown between Al-Qadisiya and Kazma, scheduled for 4:30 pm today in the seventh round of the Premier Handball League, promises to be intense. With Al-Qadisiya currently holding second place in the league standings with 29 points, just one point behind Kazma in third place, the match is pivotal for both teams. The rivalry is expected to be fierce as Al-Qadisiya aims to secure a podium finish on the 9th of this month.

Meanwhile, Kazma is determined to reclaim second place in a closely contested battle between the two teams. The competition for the runner-up position has been likened to a "game of chairs," with both teams vying for dominance.

In other matches today, fifth-placed Al-Arabi (23 points) will face league leaders Kuwait (36 points) at 6:00 pm, followed by a clash between fourth-placed Al-Salmiya (25 points) and sixth-placed Burgan (18 points) at 7:30 pm. These matches will take place at the Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Complex.

In the previous round held two days ago, Kuwait defeated Burgan 34-28, Al-Qadisiya secured a victory over Al-Arabi with a score of 30-36, and Al-Salmiya and Kazma ended in a 21-21 draw.

Osama Al-Musameh, the administrator of the Al-Qadisiya team, expressed confidence in his team's technical and mental preparedness for the crucial match against Kazma. Despite experiencing a dip in performance recently, the team has focused on rectifying weaknesses and capitalizing on strengths to return to winning ways.
