Tomooh Sports Club hosts the annual Girgean

KUWAIT CITY, March 30: The Kuwaiti Tomooh Sports Club for Mental Disabilities, in collaboration with the Kuwaiti Association for Families of Persons with Disabilities, hosted the annual Girgean ceremony at Saleh Shehab School in the Mushrif area.

The event was graced by the presence of Sheikha Sheikha Al-Abdullah Al-Sabah, along with the Chairman and members of the Board of Directors of the Al-Ambuh Club and the Kuwaiti Society for Families of Persons with Disabilities, as well as guardians and a sizable gathering of club and association members.

Sheikha Sheikha expressed her delight at the festive ambiance and the joy radiating from the faces of children with mental disabilities during this celebration. She emphasized the significance of reviving our ancient heritage customs, which serve to connect contemporary generations with their cultural legacy while preserving Kuwaiti heritage and identity.

Commending the efforts of the club and the association in providing comprehensive care for children with mental disabilities – encompassing athletic, social, and psychological support – Sheikha Sheikha highlighted their dedication to nurturing these individuals to attain championship levels and remarkable achievements. She extended her gratitude to Jassim Al-Nouri, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Tomooh Sports Club, Rehab Bouresli, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Kuwaiti Society for Families of Persons with Disabilities, and all members of both organizations’ boards, as well as to all staff who wholeheartedly contributed to the success of this heartwarming event.
