KUWAIT CITY, Oct 23: Customs officials at Shuwaikh Port successfully intercepted a significant shipment of approximately 905,000 Vimal gutka packets of tobacco from entering the country.

In the course of meticulous inspection and stringent scrutiny of incoming cargo at Shuwaikh Port, vigilant customs officers discovered a concealed cache. This concealed stash consisted of 15,019 bags, with each bag containing 60 packets, totaling an astonishing 905,460 tobacco packets. As a result, appropriate customs procedures were promptly enacted to address this illicit cargo.

Mr. Abdullah Adel Al-Sharhan, the Director General of the General Administration of Customs, expressed his gratitude to the diligent staff at Shuwaikh Port for their unwavering dedication and keen attention to their responsibilities.

The General Administration of Customs issued a stern warning to anyone contemplating the unlawful smuggling of narcotics or prohibited goods into the country. They emphasize that such actions will lead to severe legal consequences and strict customs measures will be taken against those involved.
