KUWAIT CITY, Aug 20: Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense and Acting Minister of Interior Sheikh Talal Khaled Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah stressed the need to tighten security measures upon entering the prison gates and closely inspecting everyone without exception.

During the inspection tour

This came in a press statement issued by the ministry on Saturday, during Sheikh Talal Khaled’s inspection visit to the central prison, accompanied by Undersecretary of the Interior Lieutenant-General Anwar Al-Barjas and a number of security leaders to see the progress of work. Sheikh Talal Khaled inspected the prison facilities and listened to an explanation of the services provided to inmates in terms of housing, food, health care, organizing family visits, and recreational, sports and cultural means.

Security is tight

He recommended continuing to meet the needs of inmates in correctional institutions, implementing sentences on an ongoing basis, and upgrading everything that would qualify and train inmates to become good members of society.

He expressed his appreciation for the efforts made within the correctional institutions sector and the implementation of sentences through care, activities and programs provided to inmates, which enhances Kuwait’s position as a leading country to preserve human rights. Upon his arrival, Sheikh Talal Khaled was received by the Ministry’s Assistant Undersecretary for Private Security Affairs and the Assistant Undersecretary for Correctional Institutions Affairs and Judgment Execution Major General Abdullah Al-Mulla and sector leaders., (KUNA)
