Three Nepalese women, man held in Mahboula brothel

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 19: Three Nepalese women and a male compatriot were arrested in Mahboula for engaging in prostitution. Acting on a tip-off that a Nepalese woman is using the flat she rented as a prostitution den, Brigadier Abdullah Safah formed a team of securitymen tasked to put the woman under surveillance. Upon verifying the information, the securitymen raided the flat where they found spices and some equipment used for grinding spices that seemed to be a cover up for illegal activity of the woman. This led to the arrest of the woman and her three compatriots – two women and a man. Initial investigations revealed the suspect is a pimp and she used the flat for prostitution. All those arrested during the raid were referred to the concerned security department.

Drug peddlers nabbed: A Kuwaiti citizen and an unidentified expatriate were arrested for smuggling drugs into the country and selling them. According to security sources, when securitymen of General Department for Criminal Evidences received information about a parcel of drugs arriving from a neighboring country and that two individuals will be receiving the parcel, they conducted investigations and confirmed the information. After taking necessary measures to arrest the suspects, securitymen formed a plan to nab them.

They arrested the expatriate in possession of 245,000 narcotic pills. Later, they arrested the Kuwaiti citizen when he arrived to pick up the parcel. Initially, he had resisted the arrest and ran away in an attempt to escape but injured his leg in the process due to which securitymen managed to capture him. Both suspects were referred to the concerned authorities for further investigations and necessary legal action against them. Public Relations and Security Media Department affirmed that the ministry will exert tremendous efforts to arrest the wanted individuals and protect the country and its people.
