KUWAIT CITY, Jun 7: As part of its ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking and protect society, Kuwait’s Ministry of Interior announced that the General Department for Drug Control has arrested three Kuwaiti citizens in possession of large quantities of narcotics and psychotropic substances intended for both trafficking and personal use.
According to the ministry, the arrests were made following intensive investigations and field surveillance operations that led officers to the suspects and enabled the seizure of 1.5 kilograms of cocaine, 700 grams of hashish, 5,000 psychotropic capsules, along with an electronic weighing scale used for packaging and distribution.
Authorities said the operation reflects continued security campaigns aimed at tracking down drug dealers and dismantling trafficking networks operating within the country. The seized materials and the accused individuals have been referred to the competent authorities for legal proceedings.
The Ministry of Interior reaffirmed its commitment to sustaining strict enforcement measures against drug-related crimes, stressing that it will not tolerate any activities that threaten the security of the nation or the safety of its citizens.
