Three Kuwait Soldiers Hurt While Repelling Missile, Drone Attacks

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 28: The Ministry of Defense has affirmed that the Kuwaiti Armed Forces continue their military operations to counter ongoing ballistic missile and drone attacks, in line with their defensive mandate to protect the nation’s airspace and safeguard its sovereignty, according to official spokesperson Colonel Saud Al-Atwan.

Colonel Al-Atwan reported that debris from intercepted missiles and drones fell at Ali Al-Salem Air Base, resulting in minor injuries to three service members and some material damage. He emphasized that operational and combat readiness remain unaffected.

He added that the Kuwaiti Air Defense Forces continue to engage hostile attacks through an integrated defense system, reflecting the high level of preparedness, operational capability, and coordination across all branches of the Armed Forces.

“The Armed Forces are fully prepared to carry out their duties and respond to any developments in a manner that ensures the security and stability of the country,” Colonel Al-Atwan said.

The Ministry urged citizens and residents to rely solely on official sources for information and avoid spreading rumors or unverified reports.
