Three dormant, violating charities dissolved
Minister Dr. Al-Huwailah announces amendments to enhance financial disclosure for charitable and cooperative sectors.

KUWAIT CITY, June 18: Minister of Social, Family and Childhood Affairs Dr. Amthal Al-Huwailah issued a decision to dissolve three charitable societies after finding out that they were inactive and failed to fulfill the objectives for which they were established. Al-Huwailah stressed that the ministry remains committed to intensifying oversight of charitable societies and regulating charitable activities to ensure full compliance with laws and regulations.

She explained that these efforts are aimed at protecting donations and ensuring that they reach the rightful beneficiaries. She warned that the ministry does not tolerate violations, emphasizing that all charitable societies are required to apply the transparency and governance standards and to comply with the rules and regulations. She added that these measures are in line with the commitment of the ministry to maintain the integrity of charitable work, boost public confidence in charitable organizations, and preserve the distinguished humanitarian standing and leadership of Kuwait in charitable and humanitarian activities
