SHANGHAI, Mar 31: China confirmed that three of its vessels have successfully transited the Strait of Hormuz amid ongoing regional tensions and disruptions to maritime traffic.
Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said the ships passed through the vital corridor “through coordination with relevant parties,” expressing gratitude for the assistance provided, without specifying which countries were involved.
The development comes as the strait—one of the world’s most critical routes for energy and goods trade—remains under severe strain during the continuing conflict in the Middle East. Beijing reiterated its call for an immediate ceasefire, warning of the broader risks to global trade and energy security if disruptions persist.
