Three Ballistic Missiles Destroyed After Entering Kuwait Airspace

KUWAIT CITY, March 8: Kuwait’s air defense systems intercepted and destroyed three hostile ballistic missiles that entered the country’s airspace early Sunday, according to a statement from defense authorities.

The missiles were detected after breaching Kuwaiti skies, prompting an immediate response from air defense units, which successfully neutralized all incoming threats before they could reach populated areas.

No casualties or material damage have been reported. The incident is under investigation by relevant military and security authorities to determine the source and exact trajectory of the missiles.

Authorities emphasized that Kuwait’s defense systems remain on high alert to ensure the safety and security of the nation and its residents.

Kuwait’s air defense systems are currently engaging hostile missile and drone attacks, the General Staff of the Army announced following the activation of sirens across several areas at around 7:20 a.m. Sunday. The statement clarified that the sirens and explosion sounds reported by residents are the result of interception operations carried out by air defense units to counter the attacks. The public is urged to remain calm, stay indoors, and adhere strictly to safety and security instructions issued by the competent authorities until further notice.
