KUWAIT CITY, May 6 : The Ministry of Interior, represented by the Security Directorates Affairs Sector, announced the arrest of three individuals in two separate theft cases involving electrical cables and iron materials in several areas.
In the first case, a security patrol conducting a field inspection became suspicious of two individuals inside an electrical transformer. They were apprehended while leaving the site and were found in possession of electrical cables and cutting tools allegedly used in the theft.
In a separate case, the operations room received a report that a person had stolen iron materials from an asphalt plant site. A support patrol was immediately dispatched to the location, where officers identified the vehicle used in the incident and stopped its driver.
After checking the suspect’s information, authorities found that three arrest warrants had been issued against him by the General Directorate for Drug Control, in addition to his being wanted to serve a one-month prison sentence. The stolen iron materials were found inside the vehicle, which was also seized.
The suspects, stolen items, and the vehicle used in the theft were referred to the competent authorities for necessary legal action.
The Ministry of Interior affirmed that its security campaigns will continue to apprehend lawbreakers and confront anyone who infringes on public or private property or threatens security and public order.
