The Kuwaiti Art Troupe, led by Fahad Al-Haqan, presented a performance showcasing a variety of Kuwaiti folk and heritage arts. The event included several folk art segments that reflected the Kuwaiti environment and its rich heritage, embodying the spirit of the authentic past with its social, cultural, and artistic values. The artistic performances presented Kuwaiti folk heritage in a contemporary way that preserves its authenticity and affirms its continuity in the collective consciousness of society. “Kuwaiti Art Night” was characterized by an atmosphere of camaraderie and cultural exchange, contributing to the strengthening of national identity and introducing new generations to the authentic components of Kuwaiti culture.
The show received strong audience appreciation and interaction for its portrayal of Kuwait’s history and cultural identity. The audience enthusiastically responded to the folk and traditional performances by the troupe, which included “Ya Kuwait Ya Al-Habiba” (O beloved Kuwait) (from the Al- Redha style), “Ala Yodan” (from the Al-Khamari style), “Nada Al-Munadi” (from the Al-Qadri style), “Ya Hawa Al Bal” (from the Al-Dazza style), “Ya Layl Dana,” and other traditional pieces. In this context, Zubair Khalifa Al-Omairi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Kuwaiti Artists Association, emphasized that holding the “Kuwaiti Art Night” event is part of the association’s cultural and national mission to preserve Kuwaiti heritage in all its forms and enhance its presence in society.
He affirmed the Kuwaiti Artists Association’s commitment, since its inception, to being an active national platform for safeguarding Kuwaiti heritage, preserving popular, cultural, and artistic traditions, and working to pass them on to successive generations in a manner befitting their historical and cultural value. Al-Omairi said folk arts are not merely theatrical performances, but a living record that preserves the memory of society, its values, customs, and traditions, reflecting the journey of forefathers and their contributions to building the nation. He stated, “We are continuously working to develop our cultural, artistic, and heritage programs to achieve the association’s goals of raising awareness about the importance of national heritage.” Al-Omairi emphasized that the association is committed to strengthening its partnerships and cooperation with relevant entities, institutions, and artistic and heritage groups.
