TEL AVIV, Apr 11: Thousands of protesters gathered at Habima Square in Tel Aviv on Saturday evening, calling for an end to what they described as Israel’s “eternal war” and chanting slogans opposing continued military operations in the region.

Demonstrators held signs demanding an end to fighting and voiced opposition to ongoing conflicts involving Israel across multiple fronts, including Lebanon, urging that continued violence would not improve security conditions.

The protest comes after wartime restrictions on public gatherings were eased. A smaller demonstration held the previous week had been dispersed by police, who made at least 17 arrests, citing security measures during heightened tensions involving missile attacks from Iran and Yemen.

Among the participants was Ifat Kalderon, a relative of former Hamas hostage Ofer Kalderon, who was released last year. She called for an end to Israel’s wars in Gaza, Lebanon, and Iran, saying the conflicts had not improved security.

“The reality is the same as before, perhaps even worse,” she said, urging authorities to pursue diplomatic agreements instead of prolonged conflict.
