‘This is investment’ – Opinion differs

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 6: With the release of the central market in Block One by the Board of Directors of Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh Cooperative Society and pending approval of the general assembly slated for Monday afternoon, the social media has been abuzz with opinions of those who are for and against the idea of opening markets and land of the society to investors, reports Al- Qabas daily.

Those who voiced objection to the idea believe that the investment will be monopolized by some people without any benefit for the shareholders. On the other hand, those who support the idea consider it a good opportunity to improve services offered to shareholders and residents in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh; clarifying this is investment, not privatization.
