KUWAIT CITY, May 11: The Deputy Public Prosecutor has instructed Criminal Evidences Department to dispatch technicians to a communications tower in Al-Salmi to remove any traces left behind by unidentified thieves, reports Al-Anba daily. The Deputy Public Prosecutor for Criminal Security affairs has filed a case under the title ‘felony’, following ‘theft and vandalism’ at the Taima police station. The Prosecution is overseeing the arrest of the accused individuals responsible for damaging the company’s communications tower. The company has estimated the stolen items to be valued at 3,500 dinars, with additional damage caused by the perpetrators inside the tower amounting to thousands more.

According to a security source, a lawyer acting as the legal representative of a telecommunications company reported that a tower owned by the company Salmi, Kilo 26, was targeted by thieves. The perpetrators broke the lock to gain entry into the tower, forced open the transformer door, and proceeded to steal various items including 14 power batteries, a solar panel, a 5G router for signal transmission, a static chip, 2 electrical switches, 4 copper ground cables, copper clips, spare parts, and wires for operating cameras from the tower, collectively valued at 3,500 dinars.
