They Were Making Cakes and Sweets From Expired, Unfit Ingredients - Finally, They Were Caught

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 2: The Capital Governorate Inspection Department of the General Authority for Food and Nutrition has uncovered a shop preparing cakes and sweets using food materials unfit for human consumption and expired products, as well as trading in adulterated food.

The inspection campaign was conducted as part of the Authority’s ongoing efforts to strengthen oversight of food establishments and protect consumer health and safety.

Authorities issued violation reports against the establishment and destroyed 210.943 kilograms of unfit-for-human-consumption and adulterated food products found during the inspection.

The Authority said the standard legal procedures have been initiated against the violators, stressing that inspection campaigns will continue to ensure food establishments comply with health and safety requirements.
