Relations with India historic, deep-seated

Ceremony of honoring ambassador Sheikh Dr Ahmad Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Sabah held at the Indian embassy in Kuwait.

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 23, (KUNA): Kuwaiti-Indian relations are “historic and deep-seated,” said a senior Kuwaiti diplomat. “Both friendly peoples are bonded on a deep social level as well,” said Assistant Foreign Minister and Office Director of the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Ambassador Sheikh Dr Ahmad Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Sabah.

His remarks came during a gala held at the Indian embassy in Kuwait Tuesday night, where many cultural and folkloric activities were presented. Sheikh Ahmad Nasser Al-Mohammad said such performances embodied Indian authenticity and the close historic bond with Kuwait.

In this regard, he pointed to the deep-rooted Indian heritage that still exists in the Kuwaiti culture. “There must be something from the Indian heritage in almost every Kuwaiti house,” he noted. Extending greetings to the Indian community in Kuwait, Sheikh Ahmad appreciated their significant contributions to the development of various fields in the country.
