DENMARK, Oct 17, (Agencies): Prince Christian of Denmark's 18th birthday celebration resembled a page straight out of a fairy tale, complete with a real-life Cinderella story! Distinguished royals from various European nations, including several future monarchs, gathered at Christiansborg Palace in Copenhagen for a grand celebration. The guests adorned themselves in splendid tiaras, elegant ballgowns, military uniforms, and sashes displaying their prestigious honors. However, as the night progressed, one guest inadvertently departed without a crucial accessory.

The Danish royal palace added a whimsical touch to the situation, playfully posting a photograph of a solitary sparkling shoe found after the festivities on Instagram. The caption read, "Is it Cinderella who forgot her shoe last night?" They continued, "When the guests at Her Majesty the Queen's gala dinner yesterday had gone home, this lonely stiletto shoe was left at Christiansborg Castle. The owner is welcome to contact us to get it back."

Although the evening was a formal gala, it was not devoid of amusement, and this likely led some guests to briefly abandon their shoes for comfort. The night featured a special performance, a surprise orchestrated by Queen Margrethe herself for her grandson, Prince Christian, who currently holds the second position in the Danish throne's line of succession.

"The dancefloor was brought to life when Benjamin Hav & the Family performed after the gala dinner," the palace revealed on Instagram. "The concert was Her Majesty the Queen's surprise for all the guests."
