The National Guard undersecretary opens a quarantine facility in Al-Samoud camp for the treatment of infected with coronavirus

KUWAIT, May 28: Undersecretary of the National Guard, Lt. Gen. Engineer Hashem Abdul-Razzaq Al-Rifai opened a quarantine facility in Al-Samoud camp Thursday to treat suspected cases of the new virus (Corona – Covid 19) from the National Guard.

Al-Rifai told reporters that the quarantine facility is part of the National Guard’s efforts to tackle the Corona virus and support the efforts of the state and health authorities, with the aim of relieving pressure on hospitals and medical personnel.

He praised the efforts of the National Guard men in preparing the quarantine facility and providing it with all devices and equipment within record time, according to the health standards followed.

Associate for Administrative Support Brigadier Engineer Essam Nayef Essam said in a press statement, “Cooperation and coordination with the Ministry of Health was carried out within the framework of the cooperation protocol between the two sides to supervise the establishment of the quarry and ensure that all health standards and requirements are provided to provide the best care for inmates.”


Director of the Medical Services Department, Colonel Fahd Abdullah Mayah, said in a similar statement that the quarry “consists of three floors with a capacity of 100 beds and has been provided with all medical devices, equipment and crews so that it is ready to receive various cases and provide the necessary care for them.”

The inaugural ceremony for the operations and training was attended by Major General Faleh Shuja Faleh and Director of the Diwan of the Deputy Chief of the National Guard, Major General Jamal Muhammad Al Theiab (KUNA) –
