BEIRUT, Aug 10: The Kuwaiti airlift continued on Monday to transport relief and humanitarian needs to Lebanon for the sixth consecutive day with two planes carrying 100 tons of urgent needs.

The advisor at the Kuwaiti embassy in Lebanon, Abdullah Al-Shaheen, told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) upon arrival of two planes that the total number of Kuwaiti aircraft that have transported aid to Lebanon until today reached nine aircraft with a total payload of about 400 tons, and two additional planes are expected to arrive tomorrow Tuesday.

Kuwait rushed to set up a relief air bridge immediately after the huge explosion occurred in the Beirut port on the fourth of this month, when the Kuwaiti Air Force plane was the first aid plane to set foot in Beirut.
