KUWAIT, Dec 23: (KUNA): The Kuwait Winter Games Club announced on Tuesday that the national curling team will participate in the Qatar International Open, which begins on Wednesday in Doha.

The club president, Fehaid Al-Ajmi, stated that the national team will be represented by Saud Al-Kanderi and Fatima Abdullatif.

Al-Ajmi highlighted that the team’s participation in this three-day international event is part of preparations for upcoming competitions, noting that curling is one of the most important Winter Olympic sports, and expressing hope that the team will achieve strong results in the tournament.

He also emphasized the club’s commitment to developing its five sports, which include curling, speed skating, ice hockey, figure skating, and skating, all recognized Olympic disciplines.

The national team will compete alongside teams from Qatar, Saudi Arabia, India, and Belgium.
