Thai Cargo Ship Attacked in Strait of Hormuz Runs Aground Near Qeshm Island

TEHRAN (AP), Mar 27: A Thai-flagged cargo vessel, Mayuree Naree, which was attacked earlier this month in the Strait of Hormuz, has reportedly run aground near the village of Ramchah on Iran’s Qeshm Island, according to Iranian media on Friday. The ship had been abandoned after the March 11 attack, during which three crew members went missing and remain unaccounted for. Reports by the semi-official Tasnim and Fars news agencies, known for their proximity to Iran’s paramilitary Revolutionary Guard, confirmed the grounding of the vessel.
