Tenders for new city to be floated soon

KUWAIT CITY, April 3: Minister of State for Municipal Affairs and Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development, Shaya Al-Shaya, talked of the completion of the plans to float the first tenders for the South Sabah Al-Ahmad City project this year after taking necessary approvals.

This came during a field visit by Minister Al-Shaya to the city of South Sabah Al-Ahmad, where he met with the citizens in the presence of the Director General of the Public Authority for Housing Welfare (PAHW), Engineer Bader Al-Waqian and senior officials from the authority. Al-Shaya discussed with the residents’ committee the components of the city project and investment opportunities, promising to overcome all obstacles that may hinder achieving the project.

For his part, the representative of the South Sabah Residents Committee, Al-Ahmad Ali Abdullah, in a statement issued praised Minister Al-Shaya for his good gesture. The minister has promised to communicate with the minister of finance to discuss the achievements and obstacles regarding the implementation of the city contracts and the distribution of the remaining 7,000 plots of land, hoping to continue work according to this pace
