Temperatures to reach 39°C with cool nights in Kuwait this weekend
Hot weather during the day and moderate to cool temperatures at night over the weekend.

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 23:  Kuwait is expected to experience hot weather during the day and moderate to cool conditions at night over the weekend, the Meteorological Department (MD) said Thursday.

Director of the Meteorological Department, Dharar Al-Ali, told KUNA that a high-pressure system extending from the northwest is influencing the country, bringing hot, dry air accompanied by light to moderate northwesterly winds.

Thursday’s forecast calls for hot temperatures ranging between 35 and 37 degrees Celsius, with variable northwesterly winds blowing at speeds of 6 to 26 kilometers per hour. Sea conditions will feature light to moderate waves between 1 and 3 feet.

Overnight temperatures are expected to moderate to cool, with minimums between 16 and 18 degrees Celsius. Winds will be variable, ranging from light to 22 kilometers per hour, and the sea will remain calm with waves between 1 and 2 feet.

Friday’s weather will remain hot with maximum temperatures between 36 and 38 degrees Celsius. Winds will be variable, light to moderate, ranging from 6 to 22 kilometers per hour. Sea waves will continue at light to moderate levels, between 1 and 2 feet. Nighttime temperatures will cool to between 17 and 19 degrees Celsius, with variable southwesterly winds of 8 to 30 kilometers per hour and sea waves ranging from 1 to 3 feet.

Saturday is forecast to be hot with daytime temperatures reaching between 37 and 39 degrees Celsius. Winds will vary from southwesterly to northwesterly, blowing at 10 to 30 kilometers per hour. Sea waves are expected to range between 1 and 4 feet. Nighttime temperatures will drop to between 17 and 19 degrees Celsius with northwesterly to variable winds at 8 to 35 kilometers per hour, accompanied by sea waves between 1 and 5 feet.

The Meteorological Department advises residents to prepare for the hot daytime conditions while expecting cooler nights throughout the weekend.
