KUWAIT CITY, July 12: A race between several motorists on Al-Salmi Road turned into a kidnapping incident after the young man who finished the race ahead of his competitors was forcibly stopped and taken away by one of the racers and another unidentified individual.
According to a security source, the victim, a 16-year-old boy, reported that the incident occurred at kilometer 51 mark towards Jahra. He stated that the suspect, assisted by an unknown person, intercepted him, forced him out of his vehicle, and took him away in their vehicle before later releasing him. He indicated that one of the suspects may have been under the influence of an abnormal substance or condition during the incident. The relevant authorities registered a case and assigned detectives to conduct investigations, determine the circumstances of the incident, and identify and apprehend those involved.
