KUWAIT CITY, Nov 12:  On Sunday, the Kuwait Integrated Petroleum Industries Company (KIPIC) announced an abrupt disruption in fuel gas supplies to the Zour Refinery. This was caused by a technical issue in one of the main valves of the Kuwait Oil Company, resulting in an almost complete cessation of production operations at the refinery.

In a press release, KIPIC highlighted that technical teams at the refinery are actively engaged in the process of gradually restarting production units. The anticipated timeframe for returning to previous production levels is approximately ten days.

Emphasizing its commitment to mitigating the impact of this incident, KIPIC assured that all necessary measures are being implemented. The focus is on ensuring the uninterrupted supply of low-sulfur fuel to power generation stations, water desalination plants, and the exportation of refinery products, with the objective of minimizing any adverse effects on these vital operations.
