Taylor Swift could make Super Bowl halftime history, fans believe
Taylor Swift

LOS ANGELES, Aug 16: Taylor Swift fans are speculating that the pop superstar may have already agreed to perform at the Super Bowl 2026 halftime show, following her recent appearance on boyfriend Travis Kelce's podcast, New Heights.

During the podcast, Swift discussed her new interest in baking sourdough, prompting fans to suggest the references could be a hint about the Super Bowl. Known for foreshadowing future projects, some believe she may have used the discussion as an Easter Egg for a bigger announcement.

Fans point to several clues linking Swift to the event, including the Super Bowl taking place at Levi's Stadium, home of the San Francisco 49ers, whose mascot is Sourdough Sam. Additionally, Swift's lucky number 13 has been noted as a subtle nod, connecting numerology to the Bay Area NFL team.

During the podcast, Swift highlighted visiting 47 countries on her Eras Tour, with the 47th show taking place at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California. Fans also noticed a replica of the Lombardi Trophy placed nearby during her appearance, another possible hint toward a Super Bowl connection.

Swift, 35, has the experience and music catalog to headline the halftime show. The NFL is expected to announce the next performer in the coming weeks, succeeding Kendrick Lamar. Previously excluded due to a Pepsi-sponsored halftime show conflicting with her Coca-Cola endorsement, Swift could now be eligible under Apple Music’s management of the event.

If confirmed, Swift would be the first halftime performer romantically involved with a Super Bowl participant, as Kelce plays for the Kansas City Chiefs. Fans speculate that performing while Kelce competes in the game could add a unique emotional element to the show.

Although some thought Swift would wait for a future Super Bowl in Nashville, fans now believe she could be taking the stage at Levi’s Stadium in the coming months.
