Taylor Swift becomes the richest female musician with a $1.6 billion net worth

LOS ANGELES, Oct 7: Taylor Swift has overtaken Rihanna to become the world's richest female musician, with her net worth estimated at an impressive $1.6 billion. Swift's rise was confirmed on Saturday, October 5th, when Forbes updated her net worth, reflecting her increasing wealth following the historic "Eras Tour" and the enduring popularity of her music catalog. She not only leads the list of the richest female musicians—surpassing Rihanna's $1.4 billion net worth—but is also ranked No. 2 among all musicians, with only Jay-Z ahead of her at $2.5 billion.

As noted when Swift first became a billionaire in October 2023, she is the only musician in history to achieve a 10-digit net worth primarily from her recordings and live performances, rather than from other business ventures. A year after reaching that milestone, Forbes estimates her assets to include $600 million from royalties and touring, another $600 million from the value of her catalog, and $125 million from real estate.

Swift has consistently appeared on lists of the wealthiest musicians, but her growth in recent years has been remarkable. In 2020, her net worth was valued at $365 million, meaning she has accumulated over $1.2 billion in just four years.

Despite this, Rihanna retains the title of "Richest Female Musician of All Time," as her net worth once peaked at $1.77 billion. However, Swift could also claim that title after she concludes her "Eras Tour" later this year with its final shows in the US and Canada (get tickets).

Recently, Swift endorsed Kamala Harris for president, much to the dismay of Donald Trump, who predicted that the singer would "pay a price" for her stance. This prediction joins the long list of Trump's forecasts that have proven to be inaccurate.
