LOS ANGELES, Nov 20, (Agencies): Taylor Swift made a triumphant return to the stage in Brazil, resuming her Eras Tour one day after rescheduling her Saturday show. The 33-year-old "Lover" singer performed Sunday night at Estadio Nilton Santos in Rio de Janeiro.

The decision to postpone Saturday's show was made hours before Swift was set to take the stage, citing unusually "extreme heat" in the city. With temperatures surpassing 102 F on Friday and humidity exceeding 70%, it felt as if the temperature soared to a scorching 138 F.

In an Instagram post, Swift shared a hand-written note from her dressing room, explaining the postponement: "I'm writing this from my dressing room in the stadium. The decision has been made to postpone tonight's show due to the extreme temperatures in Rio." Emphasizing the priority of safety for fans, fellow performers, and crew, she stated, "The safety and well-being of my fans, fellow performers, and crew has to and will always come first."

Event organizer Time for Fun later announced that the rescheduled show would take place on Monday, assuring fans that all tickets for Saturday's performance would remain valid for the new date.

The decision to postpone the concert followed the confirmation of a fan's tragic death ahead of Friday's show. Time for Fun shared a post on X (formerly Twitter), revealing that 23-year-old Ana Clara Benevides Machado had passed away after feeling unwell at the venue. According to the statement in Portuguese, first responders attended to Benevides Machado, and she succumbed to her condition after being transferred to the local Salgado Filho Hospital.
