DUBAI, Sep 9: A seafarer was killed and another crew member remains missing following an incident involving the Gibraltar-flagged oil products tanker Hercules Star while it was at anchorage off Dubai, the vessel’s charterer Peninsula said Wednesday, according to Reuters.
“It is with deep sadness and regret that we confirm one fatality,” Peninsula said in a statement, without providing details about the circumstances of the incident.
The company said a specialist team was working to locate the missing crew member.
“All other crew members are accounted for,” Peninsula said.
