KUWAIT, Nov 7: Taher Group Law Firm has won three awards at the Legal Era Middle East Law Awards 2026, receiving the “Law Firm of the Year – Kuwait” and “Regulatory and Investigations Law Firm of the Year” awards. Its Managing Partner, Dr. Fawaz Khaled Alkhateeb, was also named “Real Estate Lawyer of the Year” in the Middle East, in an achievement that strengthens the regional presence of Kuwaiti legal professionals and institutions.
The awards combine recognition of the firm’s standing in the Kuwaiti market with distinction in practice areas directly relevant to the needs of businesses and investors, from navigating regulatory requirements and investigations to protecting legal interests in real estate investments and projects.
The three wins followed 24 finalist nominations for the firm and its leadership, comprising 13 institutional and 11 individual nominations. These covered corporate law, banking and finance, restructuring, construction, real estate, litigation and dispute resolution, regulatory matters and investigations, and legal technology and innovation.
The Regulatory and Investigations award is particularly significant amid growing compliance and governance requirements and the need for legal advice that helps institutions manage risk and address regulatory matters and investigations effectively. The recognition in real estate also highlights the importance of specialist legal expertise in structuring transactions, protecting investments and resolving disputes relating to property projects and development.
The achievement marks another milestone in the firm’s history since its establishment in 1969.
