KUWAIT CITY, May 14: The Social Socialists Association announced the organization of a conference titled “Recovery from Addiction … and the Journey of Social Integration” on May 20 at 9:00 am, to be held at the association’s headquarters, reports Al-Jarida daily. Abdullah Al-Radwan, the Chairman of the Board of Directors, emphasized that contemporary societies are facing numerous negative phenomena, particularly the proliferation of drugs, including abuse, smuggling, and promotion.

Al-Radwan expressed growing concerns over the alarming prevalence of narcotic substances among young people, especially students. He highlighted the severity of the issue, stating that it poses a significant danger to society and the future generations.

Additionally, he raised awareness about a new form of addiction known as digital drugs (also known as binaural beats or i-dosing, refer to audio tracks or recordings that claim to induce altered states of consciousness or simulate the effects of drugs through the use of sound frequencies), which experts and addiction centers have identified as even more perilous than conventional drugs. These digital drugs utilize audio files, often accompanied by visual stimuli, which manipulate sensory perceptions and can lead to addiction.
